In addition to the confidential destruction of paper, Microstat also assumes the responsibility for its clients for the safe disposal of used electronic equipment.
Due to the large variety of document types that pass through Microstat’s scanners, we have recently invested in software that detects anomalies in the scanned image, and corrects them on-the-fly.
This year, Microstat will have been in business for 25 years. As we celebrate this important milestone, we look back at how technology within the industry has changed, and how Microstat has adapted to meet these changes.
In 1982, the majority of companies archived their documents to microfilm. Microstat was born as a microfilming bureau, growing rapidly to converting 10,000 documents per day by 1998
Microstat has always taken its environmental responsibilities seriously. The by-product of a busy scanning operation is a large amount of unwanted paper. Each week Microstat generates about a ton of paper, which has to be disposed of in a confidential and secure manner. We believe the three stage process outlined below ensures these criteria (imposed by our clients) are met, but also satisfies our own recycling aspirations.
All New . . . In order to maintain our market position we have invested in all new Dell PC's, Large format flat screens and New 9060 Canon scanners.
