Charity benefits from Directors Three Peaks Yacht Race!

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

In the last week of June our intrepid Managing Director, Tim Myatt, conquered the Three Peaks Yacht Race for the second time, with all the sponsorship and proceeds from a glitzy after race party, attended by 250 guests, all going to the James Myatt Trust to take disadvantaged children on challenging sailing holidays.

Tim and the other 4 members of the Torbellino Team, were thrilled to gain a very creditable 6th place this year, a full 6 place improvement on last years 12th position. The gruelling race, which takes 5 days and nights to complete, starting in North Wales, and sailing to the Highlands of Scotland, requires each team to race up Britains highest peaks, Snowdon in Wales, Scafell in England and culminating in Ben Nevis in Scotland.

Microstat believe this is a most valuable charity to support, and hopes the team will endeavour to raise more money next year and see if they can achieve a podium finish!

Legal Compliance is Essiential

Friday, February 20th, 2009

It is very important for organisations not to become complacent about protecting the crucial documents within their business. To ignore this issue, can result in legal action being taken against you, or threaten the future of your business!

In essence, everyone needs to examine the combination of external threats and legal obligations around the issue of storing and safeguarding crucial information.  Therefore, all organisations must put the storage and management of documents high on their agenda.  External threats include hackers, floods, fire as well as malicious damage.  Legislation is growing all the time, and failure to manage and retain documents, whatever the format, can result in prosection.

We can help in many areas here, from scanning paper records for you in a legally acceptable manner, to advising you on best practice and even complete document management systems.  Our services also include the conversion of microfim records to digital images, and scanning of microfiche to electronic format.

With 27 years experience in all matters of document scanning and information management, we can provide a complete service from initial consultation and advice, right through to collection of files, scanning, indexing and confidential document destruction.
